Shaman - Elemental Guide 3.3.5

Elemental shaman is a class which is very fun to play, it got an easy rotation, and the damage is great!
Who doesnt like to spit molten lava, thunder and all of that thing?
Shaman does require efford tho, in trash situations, your mana could run out if not managed properly.
Use your totems, they are your greatest weapons.

The Stats:
Your primary Stat is going to be Spell power. Spell power will increase your spell damage.
Your second best stat is going to be Crit and Haste. Crit comes very close to haste and should be considered pretty much equal.

Spell Power > Crit > Haste

You should be looking for at least 30-35% crit, +600 Haste, 2800+ spell power as solid minimum. (Self Buffed (totems included))

NOTE THAT HIT IS ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE! Cap hit, extremely IMPORTANT!
446 is the hit cap for spells
As a draenei you get 1% for free, so you get to 420
And if talented, 3% more, so thats -4% you need to get, awesome! So you'll need 342!

Specs & Glyphs

A common spec, and the one that you should use. You could remove the 3 points in Elemental Presision if u dont need the 3% extra Hit and use into Improved Shields(Enha second tree)

Glyphs:
Glyph of Totem of wrath: This glyph is awesome sauce, after casting the totem, 30% of the totem's spell power is on you as a buff for 5min, even after casting, for example, magma totem, you still have the buff, sweet eh?

Glyph of Flame shock: I choosed this over Glyph of Lava Burst, due to the critical strike damage bonus of your Flame Shock damage by 60%, which I see as an DPS upgrade over LB glyph.
[NOTE] You can take Lava Burst one if you prefer it.

Glyph of Lightning bolt: Simple, this is your most used spell, 4% extra damage is worth it!

Gemming
When Gemming, the main decision for you will come when choosing between 3 stats: Haste, crit and spell power. As an elemental shaman, fast casts is your thing. Crit is also important, increasing your dps. Spell power of course is the stat that should be prioritized, its important as it boosts your damage too.

Red:
23 Spell Power

Orange:
12 Spell Power 10 Haste/Crit (I prefer Haste one)

Blue:
DO not use Blue gems at all. Shamans do not benefit from Spirit at all, hence, you don't need it. Even if u want bonus from set, its more useful to use orange/red one.

Rotation
What you want to do here, is having Flame Shock up all the time, refresh it the second it runs out. If you do it 2 early, you will miss last DMG tick, and if you are waiting 2 long, you are wasting time w/o dot on boss.

Use Lava burst when out of cooldown, spam Lightning bolt when Lava Burst is on CD.
Chain lightning on aoe situations, with magma up and fire nova. Epic Sauce!

If you are going out of mana, use your totems, and in long fights like Lich King, be sure to keep Shield on your self at all time, if you wanna prolong your mana (Water Shield)

Extras: Useful Addons!
Shaman Friend: This addon warns your of several things, When you hex someone, tells you that if it was sucesseful or not, and warns you when it breaks from the target. Also warns your if you dont have any shield/weap enchant up.
This addon also shows the total damage when a Lightning overload proc occurs.
Very handy, I use it my self.
